i grew up with cat stevens… even tho i wasn’t consciously aware. now i find that i hear his old songs… and it smacks of a time i can barely remember. but it evoked huge feelings. and i fucking love it. i listen to the words now as i am sure i did not when i was 2. but classic is classic. and as much as i love music now…. i cannot help but feel the classic is gone. the times now are too corrupted with human nature to feel classic love and longing. still tho, man. old shit just turns me on.
